As of this update our counter quickly approaches 6200 hits and we
are very gratified with the interest we have received to date, however
a lot more has to be done. While most of the interest comes from across
Ontario, we are being visited from The United States and Europe.

As you know, this website is dedicated to the preservation of our
present Correctional System. We wish that the responsibility for those
people incarcerated by our court system remain within the jurisdiction
of our government, and indeed, within the Ministry of Corrections.
A little while ago, The Conservative Government under Mike Harris
announced that our system would not be privatized as was previously
planned.
We had hoped this was not done as a pre-election ploy
The provincial election was held June 3rd and it has been
discovered that the Conservative Government under Mike Harris
fully intends to privatize corrections. Yes, the previous
announcement was a pre-election ploy to downplay corrections
as an election issue and, in fact, to avoid a public service
strike.
So much for HONESTY IN POLITICS
We have some wonderful new data that we would like to
